1 c - butter
1/3 c - whipping cream (35% butterfat)
2 c - Gold Medal flour

Creamy Butter Filling:
1/4 c - butter, softened
3/4 c - powdered sugar
pink or green food coloring if desired

Mix butter, cream and flour well. Chill 1 hour. Heat oven to 375°. Roll dough 1/8" thick on lightly floured board. Cut into 11/2" rounds. Transfer to waxed paper, heavily sprinkled with sugar, turning to coat both sides. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Prick in 4 places with fork. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until slightly puffy. Put 2 cooled cookies together with filling.

Creamy Butter Filling: Blend butter, powdered sugar and vanilla. If desired, tint with pink or green coloring.
