Strawberry Long Cake
Sift or mix together:
2 c. Sifted flour
6 Tbsp. Sugar
4 tsp. Baking powder
3/4 tsp. Salt
Mix in:
1/3 c. Shortening
1 lg. Egg, beaten
2/3 c. Milk
Spread in greased baking dish.
1/4 c. Butter
1/4 c. Brown sugar
5 Tbsp. Flour
Cream together butter, brown sugar and flour; drop this on top of first mixture. Bake at 400°. Serve with fresh strawberries and cream while still warm.
